The South Fork of the American River is the most popular white water rafting river in the West. It is known for its thrills, wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Friday, September 18th, 2008 is a one-day river trip hosted by one of three experienced professional outfitters. They have offered the festival a special discounted price as part of the festival's one-day river trip/three-day two-night camping/ three-day music ticket. Your river trip includes a very special music performance at your lunch stop deep in the river canyon and a complimentary 5 X 7 picture (THANKS to Hotshot Imaging) of your boat running one of the South Fork's famous rapids. Where you camp is where you will launch, so please consider your campground first. Each campground has something different to offer. To learn more about campground choices and all questions about the campgrounds click on campgrounds.

Check-in is 9:30 A.M. on Friday at your campground. Don't be late for check-in. This gives you time to choose a campground site and prepare for your day on the river. Each outfitter provides transportation and lunch on the river. On your shuttle back to camp, you will stop at Hotshot Imaging to pick out your complimentary picture. You should be back at your campground by 5:00 P.M. Check-out is Sunday after the conclusion of the main stage performances.

Below are the outfitters and their launch sites.
