“thanks for putting together what will become one of California's best music festivals!” P.W., Oakland, Ca

The main stage is located at the Henningsen-Lotus Park (click here for directions), which is a lovely 18–acre park on the banks of the South Fork of the American River in Lotus, CA. The main stage music performances (see musicians) are scheduled (see schedule) for Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. You'll be listening to world-renowned musicians performing from high octane Americana to dazzling instrumental chops to superb American folk to some very cool blues. Plenty of free parking within easy walking distance is available for non-campers. There will be freshly prepared food along with local award winning wines and brews, a cool store for getting hats, shirts and CDs, art vendors and a great kids entertainment area.

To stay in our campgrounds you MUST have a Festival camping ticket!

For campers there are three beautiful river front campgrounds to choose from (see campgrounds) with free continuous bus shuttles to and from the main stage. Each campground will host their own music performances and jam workshop (see schedule) reserved for campers only. There are limited cabins, cottages, tent cabins, yurts and RV sites available in the campgrounds for an upgraded fee reserved through the campgrounds, but you must buy a camping pass in order to reserve the upgrade. Campers can participate in an optional Friday afternoon naturalist guided river front hike in the magnificent Cronin Ranch, just a short 5 minute drive from all campgrounds. This is a gentle three hour hike with live music at our turning point. The hike departs at 2:00 P.M., and your campground host will have easy directions to the meeting spot.

A Friday, one-day river trip , on the South Fork of the American River is a super fun camping ticket option (see river rafting) offered at a special festival price. The "Gorge" run is a class 3 whitewater experience for ages 8 years and up guided by professional outfitters. On your river trip you will be treated to a special live music performance during your lunch break. Your river rafting trip includes a complimentary 5 X 7 picture (THANKS to Hotshot Imaging) of your boat running one of the South Fork's famous rapids.

The weather is normally great, warm and colorful, with 87 and 58 the average high and low temperatures for Coloma-Lotus this time of year.
